§ 02 / About this part
What it is
Vertex piston kit Ø54.00 B to fit Fantic XE125 (2021–2022); Fantic XX125 (2021); Yamaha YZ125 (2005–2021); Yamaha YZ125X (2020–2022).
This part resides in the cylinder and is critical for maintaining the primary compression needed for power. You should replace it as part of your scheduled top-end maintenance to avoid expensive cylinder damage. The lettered sizing options allow you to account for microscopic wear in the bore, ensuring a tight seal and optimal performance. The kit comes complete with rings, wrist pin, and circlips. When installing, ensure the ring gaps are positioned over the locating pins. Use a fresh base gasket and check your squish clearance to ensure the engine runs correctly after the rebuild.
