These circlips secure the gudgeon pin within your piston. They are strictly single-use components for any top-end rebuild. Reusing an old clip risks catastrophic engine failure if it loses tension and escapes its groove. These are manufactured to precise tolerances for a secure fit in the piston boss. When installing, position the opening away from the access notch to prevent rotation. Always block your crankcase with a clean rag before fitting to avoid dropping a clip into the bottom end.
