What it is

The WISECO PISTON KIT PRO-LITE, top end. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Wiseco's Pro-Lite is the forged two-stroke piston for the YZ 125. Forging gives a denser grain structure than cast; the skirt holds its shape under race heat and the crown resists detonation. Two-stroke top ends are consumables. Miss the interval and a collapsed skirt takes the bore with it. Kit ships with piston, rings, gudgeon pin and circlips. Set the ring end-gap, point the crown arrow at the exhaust port, and the 125 gets its snap back.
