The piston operates under extreme pressure within the cylinder, where ring wear eventually leads to compression loss and starting issues. Replacing the piston at set service intervals prevents skirt failure and bore damage. This kit includes the piston, rings, gudgeon pin, and circlips. This 77.98mm sizing is for cylinders with more significant wear. During installation, ensure the ring gaps are staggered according to the workshop manual. Lubricate the small-end bearing thoroughly before closing the top-end.
