These sealing rings restore compression and prevent blow-by in your cylinder assembly. Sitting in the piston grooves, they seal the combustion chamber against the bore. Two-stroke rings eventually thin out or lose tension, leading to hard starting and power loss. Check your ring end gap before installation to ensure proper thermal expansion. Align the ring ends with the locating pins in the piston grooves to prevent port snagging.
