Brake pads are a service item. Check the friction material before every ride and swap them before they hit the backing plate. Sintered runs longer in wet, abrasive mud and bites harder when hot. Organic gives a softer initial pull and clearer feel on dry, hard-pack tracks. Match the backing plate to your caliper. Bed new pads in slow and clean to keep the disc off glaze. Use the filters to pull the right compound for your bike.
