These carbon graphite pads are designed for enduro and trail use where modulation is critical. They sit in the brake circuit and transfer less heat to the caliper, preventing fluid boil on long descents. The material is less abrasive on your discs than full sintered pads. They perform best in dry to mixed conditions where feel is more important than raw bite. Clean the rotor with brake cleaner before installation to remove old deposits. This ensures the new compound beds in correctly for consistent performance.
