Brakes are stopping power, modulation, and lever feel. Discs, pads, lines, and master cylinder rebuild kits live here. Swap pads before they score the rotor. Braided lines firm up a spongy lever. Sintered bites hard in mud and grit; organic compounds give you finer control on hard-pack. Check caliper pistons for corrosion every pad swap.
