CoolingWater Pumps
Your water pump shifts coolant through the engine. If it stops, you cook the top end. Check the weep hole after every ride. Wet means the mechanical seal has gone. Pull the cover, inspect the impeller for blade wear, spin the shaft and feel for play in the bearing. Sand and grit chew impellers fast. Fit a new seal, shaft and impeller as a set.
