This component sits at the heart of your lower engine. It converts linear piston travel into rotational force. Replace this during a full rebuild or if you detect vertical play at the big-end bearing. Forged construction ensures the assembly handles high-RPM stress without flexing. Installation requires a hydraulic press to split the crank webs and specialised tools for truing. Always check your workshop manual for specific torque values and clearances.
