What it is

The ATHENA FORK DUST SEAL KIT MGR-SCY 47x58,3x6/10,5, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Dust seal only here, not the oil seal underneath. It's the upper wiper that sits at the top of the fork leg and scrapes mud, sand and trail grit off the stanchion before it can reach the oil seal lip below. Fits 47mm forks on the CR 250R and HM Moto CRE-F 250R, 250X, 300X and 450R. Cheap consumable, so swap them in pairs whenever you pull the forks for a service or when the oil seals start weeping. Skip this step and your fresh oil seals won't last a season.
