What it is
The ATHENA VALVE STEM SEAL KIT, gaskets & seals. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
These seals sit on the valve guides to control lubrication within the cylinder head. They prevent engine oil from leaking down the valve stems and entering the combustion chamber. Worn seals often cause blue smoke on cold starts or under heavy deceleration. Replace these whenever you perform a valve service or top-end rebuild. Use a dedicated seal driver for installation to avoid damaging the rubber lip. These seals are manufactured to withstand high thermal loads and maintain a tight fit on the valve stem throughout the service interval.
