Short fit, so it sits tight over the dust seal area without fouling the lower fork guard or the brake line on the way down. Slip it on before the lower triple is torqued, line the seam to the rear, and you're done. The yellow shows mud and brake dust quickly, which is the point: you see when it's packed out and needs rinsing instead of grinding paste into your seal lip. Pull it off at the wash, blast it through, refit. Universal fit means it'll go on most standard upside-down forks. Wash it, don't bin it.
