Cycra's lower-leg guards wrap the front of the fork tube where roost concentrates. On a CRF250R or CRF450R, the 49mm Showa fork is the most expensive bit of casting on the bike, and a deep stone gouge on the slider chews seals every other ride. The shell is thick injection-moulded plastic with the factory mount geometry, so it bolts to the existing fork-lug tabs and brake-line clip with no shimming. Inspect the slider for burrs and dress them with a fine stone before refitting. Replace when the leading edge starts to splinter or after any front-end crash.
