These ceramic pads sit inside your caliper to provide consistent friction against the disc. The compound offers a progressive feel and effective heat management for trail or enduro use. Ceramic material is less abrasive than sintered alternatives, extending the life of your discs. Replace these once the friction material wears below 1mm or if they become glazed from overheating. Before fitting, clean the caliper pistons thoroughly to avoid damaging the seals when retracted. Check your pad pins for grooving or corrosion at the same time. Bed the new set in with several controlled stops to ensure full contact.
