These fixed-mount wave units offer a significant weight saving over standard round discs while improving cooling. The scalloped edge constantly wipes the pads to maintain bite in wet UK conditions. Mounted directly to the hub or via a centre-lock interface, they provide a firm lever feel and consistent modulation. Replace these when you notice deep scoring or if the thickness drops below the service limit. For centre-lock versions, ensure you have the correct splined tool for installation. Always degrease the friction surface with brake cleaner before the first ride to remove shipping oils and ensure immediate bite.
