Worn guides lead to valve wobble, which destroys seats and causes oil consumption. This standard size guide is specific to the YZ250F intake side. Installation requires professional tools to press the old guide out and the new one in without damaging the head casting. Reaming to the correct inner diameter is often necessary after pressing. Replace these if you notice excessive lateral play during your top-end teardown.
