These seals sit at the top of the valve guides within the cylinder head. They control the lubrication of the valve stem while preventing excess oil from entering the combustion chamber. Hardened or worn seals often cause blue smoke on startup and increased oil consumption. Replace these whenever you have the top-end apart for a rebuild or valve service. This pack covers both intake and exhaust sides for your YZ450. They are a direct replacement for OEM part 51Y-12119-00-00. Use a dedicated seal driver for installation to avoid tearing the inner lip.
