These C630 bronze intake guides are pressed into the cylinder head. They provide a stable path for the intake valve stem. Bronze is used for its superior thermal conductivity and wear resistance. Replace your guides if you detect any lateral movement in the valve. Worn guides lead to poor valve seating and oil consumption.
