This cable links your throttle tube to the engine intake. It runs from the bars, down the frame, to the carb or throttle body. Friction and dirt ingress eventually cause binding or fraying. Replace this during your seasonal service to maintain a snap-back throttle response. This is a direct replacement for your worn factory unit. Lubricate the inner wire before fitting to ensure smooth operation. Check your routing carefully to avoid pinching when the bars are at full lock. Proper tension prevents unwanted revving during technical sections.
