§ 02 / About this part

What it is

Moose Offroad fork bushing kit to fit Honda CR125R (1990–1991); Honda CR250R (1990–1991); Honda CR500R (1990–1991); Suzuki RM125 (1991); Suzuki RM250 (1991); Suzuki RMX250 (1991).

Fork bushings are the bearing surfaces inside conventional damper-rod and cartridge forks. The outer bushing sits in the lower, the inner clamps to the stanchion. Both wear their Teflon coating after a few seasons of two-stroke whoops, and once the coating is gone you get stiction, then play, then a wet stanchion. This kit covers the CR125/250/500R and RM125/250/RMX250 vintage of conventional fork. Replace bushings whenever you do seals. Drift them in with a proper bushing driver — a socket and hammer will deform the inner sleeve and bind the leg solid.
