What it is

Fork bushings are the bearing surfaces inside conventional damper-rod and cartridge forks. The outer bushing sits in the lower, the inner clamps to the stanchion. Both wear their Teflon coating after a few seasons of two-stroke whoops, and once the coating is gone you get stiction, then play, then a wet stanchion. This kit covers the CR125/250/500R and RM125/250/RMX250 vintage of conventional fork. Replace bushings whenever you do seals. Drift them in with a proper bushing driver — a socket and hammer will deform the inner sleeve and bind the leg solid.
