§ 02 / About this part

What it is

Moose Offroad front sprocket 13T to fit Honda CRF150F (2003–2009, 2012–2017); Honda CRF230F (2004–2009, 2012–2017, 2019); Honda XR250L (1991–1996); Honda XR250R (1988–1995).

This steel drive unit mounts to the output shaft of the gearbox. It is a sacrificial part that bears the brunt of the engine's torque and abrasive trail debris. Inspect the tooth profile for hooking during your regular maintenance schedule. If you are dropping a tooth to gain more punch out of corners, check that your chain guide and sliders are not excessively worn. Clean the shaft splines before fitting the new part to ensure a precise fit. Always use a new circlip or lock washer for security on your next rebuild.
