Guide bushings sit in the outer fork tube and ride against the stanchion. The Teflon face wears thin over hours, then the copper substrate peels through and friction climbs. You feel it as harshness off small chop and slop at the top of the stroke. Replace as a set, both legs, every time the seals come out. The 46mm spec covers older showa and kayaba conventional forks across CR125/250/500, KX125/250/500, RM125/250 and YZ125/250 two-stroke kit, plus WR400/426/450 and YZ400/426/450 four-stroke uppers. Mismatched sizes will not seat. Confirm stanchion OD before ordering.
