What it is

When the lever goes long or fluid starts seeping past the dust boot, the master cylinder seals are done. This kit rebuilds the bore: piston, return spring, and the rubber seals that lose their edge once heat and dirt get into them. Sized for the big-single platform, the 690 and 701 Enduro and Supermoto, the SMC range, and the older LC4 640, so the piston runs true in the bore. Strip the housing, flush it with brake cleaner, then wet the seals with fresh fluid before assembly to stop them tearing as they go in. A standard service item on a bike pulling real hours.
