What it is

The Moose Offroad OIL FILTER 10 MICRONS PAPER, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A 10-micron paper oil filter element for the KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas and Husaberg EXC/FC/FE four-stroke platforms. The paper media screens fine metal and clutch debris from the oil before it reaches the crank bearings and top-end. These engines work hard and the oil degrades fast, so change the element every oil service, roughly every five to fifteen hours depending how you ride. Check the housing O-rings are sound before reassembly; a tired seal drops oil pressure and lets unfiltered oil through. Squared up and seated, it matches the flow these engines expect.
