These steel drive plates sit between the friction discs in your clutch stack. They transfer torque from the inner hub to the gearbox. Heat is the main enemy here. If your plates show blue discolouration or signs of warping, they must be replaced to prevent clutch drag and poor shifting. These match OEM specifications for your CRF450R. Ensure you check the stack height against your workshop manual during the rebuild. Clean the plates thoroughly before installation to remove any protective transit oil.
