Ethanol in modern pump fuel hardens the original diaphragms and O-rings until the valve weeps or stops shutting off, and a tap that won't close drains straight into the carb. The kit carries the seals and hardware for the fitment; some applications include a drill bit for the factory rivets. Clean the tank flange before it goes back together. A bench job that saves hunting for an obsolete complete tap.
