What it is

The Moose Offroad REBUILD KIT FUEL TAP YAM, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

If your WR 450 F smells of petrol in the garage, the petcock seals are the usual cause. This kit replaces the internal gaskets and O-rings that seal the tap body against the lever, so the fuel shuts off cleanly between sessions. The rubber inside a fuel tap hardens and cracks with age, and once it goes the tap weeps or sticks. Fit the new seals with a smear of fuel-resistant grease so the lever moves smoothly. A direct fit for the OEM Yamaha tap assembly. Quick bench job, real fix.
