Steering head bearings live a hard life on a dual-sport. Green-lane miles, road commutes, the odd kerb hop, water crossings that wash grease straight out, all of it punishes the headstock. Once they pit, you get notchy steering on centre and vague feel everywhere else. This kit gets you back to a smooth, neutral front end. Press the old races out, pack the new bearings properly before you fit them, torque the stem nut to the workshop manual figure, then re-check after the first ride. Do the job once, do it right, and the DR steers like it should again.
