The Moose Offroad STEERING STEM BEARING KIT, suspension. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
Your steering stem takes a hammering every time the front end loads up, and on a 40-year-old air-cooled CR or a banned-in-'88 ATC 250R the original bearings have long since given up the ghost. This Moose kit drops straight in: fresh tapered bearings top and bottom, races, and seals to keep the grit out. Pack them properly with a quality grease before you tap them home, torque the stem nut to factory spec, then check it again after the first ride once everything's bedded in. Sorts out the head shake and gets the front end pointing where you want it.
