What it is

The Moose Offroad Throttle Cable for Yamaha, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A replacement throttle cable for the older Yamaha and Suzuki two-strokes, cross-referencing OEM BR8-26311-00-00. Pressure washing and trail dust are what kill these: water sits in the liner, the inner wire binds, and the grip stops returning instantly. If it does not snap shut, the core is done. Thread it through the chassis on a natural curve and keep the bends loose to avoid drag. Adjust tension at the housing so there is no pull at full steering lock. Fits the RM 125, RM 250 and YZ 65 with factory length and terminal ends.
