Wheel play or a gritty spin tells you the hub internals are shot. These bearings and double-lipped seals sit where the axle runs through the hub — once water gets in from a jet wash or a deep bog crossing, they're on borrowed time. Kit covers the full hub on KX 250, 250X, 450, 450F and 450X, RM-Z 250 and 450, WR 250F and 450F, YZ 250F and 250FX. Clean the hub bore before fitting and warm the hub gently so the outer races drop in without galling the aluminium.
