What it is
The MOTION PRO CABLE DECOMPRESSION, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
This decompression cable replaces OEM 59002094000 and connects the handlebar lever to the cylinder head. It is used to manually open an exhaust valve, reducing compression for easier kicking on older four-stroke engines. Cables stretch and fray over time, eventually snapping when you need them most. A snapped cable makes starting a high-compression bike nearly impossible. Route the cable away from the exhaust manifold to prevent the outer sleeve from melting. Set the free play accurately to ensure the valve closes completely during the power stroke.
