What it is

Decompression cable for older KTM and Husaberg four-strokes, the EXC, MXC and FE/FS racing range, cross-referencing OEM 59002094000. It links the bar lever to a manual exhaust valve, bleeding off compression so a big high-compression single kicks over instead of kicking back. These cables stretch, fray and snap, and a dead one makes a 450 or 550 thumper a real fight to start. Keep the routing clear of the exhaust manifold so the outer sleeve doesn't melt. Set the free play accurately so the valve seats fully on the power stroke and you keep your compression.
