The SX 525 runs the old RFS four-stroke lump. Big torque, and the chain and sprockets cop the worst of it — check wear early and often. If you ride tight, technical stuff, pull the clutch and look for heat colour on the plates before it bites you. Plenty of the engine internals cross over with the EXC, so spares are easier than you'd think.
