What it is

The MOTION PRO CABLE HOT START, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

This hot start cable is a direct replacement for OEM 5TA-26334-00-00 and 58900-10H00. It actuates the lean-burn circuit on your carburettor for hot engine restarts. Heat from the cylinder head often dries out the factory lubricant, leading to a stiff or seized cable. If the cable fails, restarting your bike mid-moto becomes significantly harder. When fitting, ensure the cable is not pulled tight when the bars are turned. Adjust the barrel for minimal free play to ensure the plunger opens fully. It restores the light action required for quick restarts.
