What it is

The MOTION PRO CABLE HOT START, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Direct hot-start replacement for the Suzuki RM-Z 250 and Yamaha YZ/WR 250 F and 450 F, cross-referencing OEM 5TA-26334-00-00 and 58900-10H00. It works the lean-burn circuit at the carb for clean restarts on a hot engine. Head heat cooks the factory grease out of these cables, so they go stiff and eventually seize, and a four-stroke is hard work to restart without it. Fit it so the cable stays slack with the bars on full lock, then dial the barrel to minimal free play so the plunger opens fully. Quick, light action back.
