This countershaft sprocket mounts to the gearbox output shaft to drive the 520 chain. It experiences significant stress and abrasive wear from track grit. A 12T count provides maximum low-end torque for steep climbs and tight woods. Check for tooth deformation every few rides. Always clean the splines and inspect the output shaft seal during the change. This steel sprocket is built to match OEM tolerances. It is a critical consumable for maintaining drive efficiency.
