This countershaft component sits on the engine output shaft to drive your final drive system. It handles the highest rotational speeds in the drivetrain. Because of the small diameter, it wears faster than the rear. Inspect the teeth for hooking every ten hours of ride time. A worn front sprocket will ruin a new chain in short order. Ensure the splines are clean and lightly greased before sliding the part onto the shaft. Always use a new circlip or tab washer during the install. This part meets or exceeds OEM tolerances for a precise fit.
