This steel rear sprocket fits the 420 chain pitch used on many youth and small-bore bikes. It sits on the rear hub and is essential for transferring torque to the rear tyre. The steel construction withstands the grinding effect of sand and grit better than aluminium. Inspect the teeth regularly for signs of wear or bending. A 48T count helps your bike pull harder out of corners on tight tracks. When installing, ensure the sprocket sits flush against the hub. Use new fasteners and a drop of thread lock to prevent vibration from backing the bolts out.
