The Scorpion XC Mid-Hard rear works the middle ground: stiff enough to hold its shape on flint and shale, soft enough to bite when you crack the throttle out of a rutted corner. Run it on a 125 or a small-bore enduro bike for big-day events where the ground hardens through the afternoon. Watch the drive-side knobs. Once they round off, traction goes vague under braking and the back end starts wandering on off-camber lines. Swap it then.
