These protectors wrap around the axle lugs at the very base of your front suspension. They shield the aluminium castings from gouges and impact damage when navigating rock gardens or deep, stony ruts. In hard enduro, these lower points are highly vulnerable to abrasive wear. They install quickly, often clipping over the lug or securing with existing bolts. Replacing these prevents permanent damage to the fork bottoms, which are expensive to replace. They are a sacrificial layer for riders who push their bike through technical terrain and demanding trail conditions.
