This Polisport guard shields the alternator cover on the left of the CRF1100L Africa Twin's engine. That casing houses the stator and runs close to the ground, so logs and dropped-bike impacts find it first. The plastic shell is heat-tolerant and built to absorb a blow, spreading the load across the case instead of cracking it. It fits the factory bolt pattern and goes on in minutes. Fitted specific to the Africa Twin platform. Keeps your charging system sealed and oil-tight through rocky sections and the inevitable low-speed tip-overs.
