What it is

The POLISPORT REAR DISC PROT YZ 15- BK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Black rear disc guard for the 2015-on YZ range, including the YZ 125, 250, 250 F/FX and 450 F/FX. It bolts to the caliper carrier and wraps the disc against rock strikes and rut damage low on the swingarm, where contact is a question of when, not if. The plastic flexes on impact instead of transferring the hit straight into a warped rotor. Uses the existing rear mounting points for a direct fit. Replace it once the tabs show stress cracks or the gouges run deep. A bent disc drags pads and kills braking, so this guard pays for itself.
