What it is

The PROX CLUTCH PLATE SET, clutch. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

These steel plates restore factory tolerances and clutch bite. They sit between the friction plates and can warp or blue from excessive heat. Warped plates cause the clutch to drag and make finding neutral difficult. Replacing the steels ensures the stack height meets OEM specifications for consistent lever feel. Clean the basket and hub of any notches before installation. Use fresh oil and check the slave cylinder or cable adjustment once the new stack is seated in the clutch housing. These are a direct replacement for the original components.
