The thin-profile components are essential for the auto-clutch to maintain the correct operating gap. Over time, heat and friction will wear these plates down, leading to poor engagement. Replacing the stack restores the sharp response and torque transfer required for MX and cross-country racing. Soak the frictions in oil and ensure the steel plates are installed with the correct orientation as per the manual.
