This bi-metal component uses a high-strength steel outer ring bonded to a lightweight aluminium inner. It mounts to your rear hub to drive the bike forward. The steel teeth provide the durability needed for abrasive UK conditions, lasting significantly longer than standard aluminium. Replace this part when you notice the teeth hooking or thinning. A 51-tooth setup increases low-end pull for technical enduro sections or tight MX tracks. Always fit new sprocket bolts and use a medium-strength thread lock to ensure the assembly remains secure under heavy load.
