What it is

Genuine Showa dust seal for 47mm forks, sold singly so order a pair if you're doing both legs. It's the OE part, same spec as what came out of the bike from new, which matters because the dust seal is the first line of defence against the grit that chews up oil seals and pits stanchions. Fits CR 250R, CRF 250R, DR-Z 400 SM, KX 250F and RM 125. While the forks are apart, change the oil seals at the same time and give the bushes a once-over. Fit it dry, wipe the lip with a smear of fork oil before sliding it down.
