What it is
The SHOWA GUIDE BUSH 41x45x15, suspension. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.
At 41mm inner, 45mm outer, 15mm tall, this bush rides on the fork slider and bears the lateral load between the inner tube and the outer stanchion. The PTFE-impregnated bronze liner runs against the chromed tube. Once that liner wears through to the bronze, you get stiction on the initial stroke and oil weeping past the seals. Swap on every full service, never just the seals on their own. Pre-soak the bush in fresh fork oil and seat it with a slide-hammer driver matched to 41mm — don't tap it home with a punch.
