This backfire-resistant filter uses a special foam layer to prevent ignition from engine pop-back. It is designed for four-stroke bikes where the metal OEM screen has been removed to increase air intake. The dual-layer foam traps dirt in the outer pores while the inner layer stops fine dust. It fits over your existing filter cage. Service this part frequently in dry UK conditions. Replace the element immediately if the foam becomes brittle or the base seal loses its shape. Proper oiling is essential for engine longevity.
