The coarse outer foam handles mud and large grit while the fine inner layer stops dust. Regular service is essential to maintain throttle response and prevent premature piston wear. This filter is a direct replacement for the factory part and fits the standard Sherco cage. When installing, verify the filter is centred on the cage to maintain a complete seal. Clean the intake boot every time you swap the filter.
