These standard filters use a dual-layer foam design to protect your engine from dust and debris. They are model-specific and sit directly on your bike filter cage. A proper seal at the airbox interface is vital. Use rim grease on the foam base during every installation. Service intervals should be frequent, especially in sand or dry silt. Replace the filter when the foam starts to break down or the seams show gaps. Maintaining a clean filter is the simplest way to prevent premature piston and cylinder wear.
